Local restaurants join talents to create another memorable dinner under the stars on Main Street, historical downtown Forest Grove. The menu will feature fresh local ingredients paired with local award winning wines.

The Main Course Celebrates Local Food & Wine
With an emphasis on local farms and wineries, Forest Grove celebrates the return of The Main Course on Saturday, July 28. In the classic village tradition, Main Street in historic downtown Forest Grove will be closed to host the community’s outdoor feast. Central to the northern Willamette Valley agricultural industry, this annual event reaps the bounty of fresh and local ingredients. “We want to emphasize the connection between our farms and the food served for dinner” said Camille Miller, the events organizer chair. The Main Course will pair wines from local wineries with a four course sit down dinner using ingredients from local farms and prepared by local Forest Grove chefs. The unique event is an opportunity to meet the winemakers, farmers and chefs.
The Main Course takes place on Main Street between Pacific Avenue and 21st Avenue on Saturday, July 28th beginning at 5:30PM. Live music will accompany the appetizer and wine tasting portion of the event. The Main Course, a non-profit event, benefits youth arts through the Forest Grove Public Arts Commission. Tickets are $30 for wine-tasting, appetizers and a commemorative glass or $80 for the full Main Course experience, which includes tasting, 4-course dinner paired with local wines and a glass.
